Liverpool are considering making a move to sign Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton.
The Reds are said to be keen on the 22-year-old midfielder, but will need to offload someone in order to be willing to pay the Eagles’ £70m asking price.
Curtis Jones is the obvious choice, with Inter Milan already bidding for the 25-year-old. It seems like its just a case of agreeing a fee.
Alexis Mac Allister’s future is also a subject of ongoing scrutiny amid contract talks stalling and interest from Europe.
Tottenham are also interested in Wharton, but would struggle to attract a player who is keen to take a step up in his career and play European football next season, after missing out on selection for the England squad at this summer’s World Cup finals.
