Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai didn’t travel with the Liverpool squad for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash at LASK.
While its possible they may have been rested for the game in Austria anyway, it’s also not known how long the three will be out for.
After Wednesday, Liverpool go to Brentford on Saturday then have a home game against Villareal in the Champions League next Tuesday and are back at Anfield to face Brighton in the Premier League the following Sunday.
“They are not far, but it’s difficult to tell right now,” Andoni Iraola told reporters in Linz on Tuesday evening. “None of the three have trained with the group and we are taking it day to day.
“I don’t know if they’re going to be ready for Brentford, for Villarreal, for Brighton, I don’t know.”
Without arguably our best three attacking players so far this season, Liverpool may struggle and will need to rely on Lewis Koumas to step up again, as he did against Man City on Sunday.
This really isn’t a good time to have an injury crisis.
