Andoni Iraola faced the press on Friday afternoon, ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League game against Manchester City at Anfield.

“Four games in nine or ten days I think it is.”

The first of those is just a few days away now and it will be a big test for Iraola’s side.

A win against Man City will be a statement that Liverpool are up for the challenge and contenders for the title this season, especially with Enzo Maresca’s side expecting to have a points deduction because of their guilty verdict.

“I think uncertainty is no good for anyone involved,” he added, when asked about City’s possible punishment.

“But the process is ongoing and we have to be patient like everyone else, and see what happens at the end.”

We expect high emotions on Sunday. We expect a noisy Kop and we expect grit and determination from the team on the pitch. We need to make a statement that cheats never win.
