Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has held discussions about joining a syndicate of investors led by former Queens Park Rangers co-owner Amit Bhatia to buy a 30% stake in Liverpool.
Bezos has a personal fortune of around $257bn, according to Forbes, making him the fourth-richest person in the world.
He has reportedly explored bids in the past for this year’s Super Bowl winners, the Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Commanders, although he chose not to invest on those occasions.
