Another game, another disappointment for Arne Slot’s Liverpool. Two dropped points in a game they should have been determined to win.
Ryan Gravenberch gave the Reds an early lead as they dominated the game in from the kick-off. However, as in too many matches this season, the team lost their way, started making unforced errors, failed to defend well and ended up conceding an equaliser before half-time.
There were plenty of chances for both sides in the second half. Dominik Szoboszlai saw a long range shot hit the post, while Virgil van Dijk’s header rebounded off the crossbar.
It was a fair result in the end, but another missed opportunity for Liverpool as they push for Champions League football.
