Liverpool continued their US tour with a fairly hard-fought victory over Championship upstarts Wrexham in the Yankee Stadium in the early hours of Thursday morning UK time.
It was the first look at the team in action in the new white away kit, after Wednesday night’s launch.
The Reds are a couple of weeks behind the Welsh club in their pre-season preparations, as Andoni Iraola‘s men step up their fitness ahead of the Premier League season which kicks off in three week’s time.
Rio Ngumoha‘s deflected goal separated the two sides, but there were good performances from several of the youngsters, including a strong disaply from Luke Chambers at centre-back.
