Tuesday night’s Champions League clash with Villarreal at Anfield was a game of highs and lows.
Liverpool started sluggish and were punished early by their Spanish visitors. Only Rio Ngumoha looked lively, hile Virgil van Dijk looked half asleep.
Fortunately a late rally at the end of the first half brought the Reds level going into the break and they were able to wake up for a better second half.
All started to look much better until a late comeback goal from Villarreal got us all a little nervous.

Fortunately we were strong enough to hold on until the end. A 4-3 win in a game that looked like we’d lose after 20 minutes.
