Liverpool return from their pre-season US tour with plenty to work on. Andoni Iraola has started to get the Reds playing his new high-tempo style, but there’s a lot of work needed to shore up the defence ahead of the new season.
Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo and Alisson Becker have now joined up with the squad, plus new signing Victor Munoz, allowing Iraola to start thinking about his best 11 for the Premier League opener at Newcastle United in two weeks time.
Sunday’s game against Monaco at Anfield will be shown live on LFC TV for subscribers in the UK. Kick-off is 2.30pm.
