Victor Munoz has hit the ground running since his £34.5m transfer from Osasuna in the summer.
The Spanish winger was in his nation’s squad for the World Cup finals, but was unable to play after picking up a knock just before the tournament started.
He was still there on the podium to pick up his winner’s medal and lift the trophy after they beat Argentina in the final in New York.
Since then, he’s settled in well at Anfield and enjoying first team action under new head coach Andoni Iraola.
“I think the fact that all this has happened so quickly does not give me time to process it. I think it’s good, for both me and my family,” he said, ahead of Spain’s UEFA Nations League games against Czechia and Croatia this week.
“You try to enjoy every moment and every stage, and the truth is that now I am in a good moment, both in Liverpool and here in the national team. I am focused on the next game with the national team.”
When asked about his move to the Premier League, Munoz added: “I really like to follow La Liga and I notice a lot of differences compared to the Premier League.
“La Liga is much more tactical, the Premier League games are much more physical.
“It is true that I notice more differences compared with previous years; the intensity of the training sessions, all the physical work, which is very big and is helping me to grow.”
