The Reds needed to win in order to return to the top of the Premier League after Man City’s victory over Spurs on Saturday and, after a nery first 45 minutes, they went ahead thanks to a great strike by Gini Wijnaldum.
James Milner netted from the penalty spot in the final minutes of the game to seal the victory and claim the much-needed three points.
