Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat at Brentford on Saturday night was a massive blow to everyone and the players realise they need to do better if they are to get out of the current slump.
“We’ve got to work harder, it’s as simple as that, in training and games, recovering better. All of us have to,” said Andy Robertson after the game.
“When you’re at this football club, people demand results. You know, the fans travel up and down. I guarantee quite a lot of them on their way in today, were in Frankfurt as well, and they spend a lot of money to come and support us.
“In a difficult moment, the only way to get out of it is work even harder and run that bit more and and look after yourself that bit better. And that’s what we’ve got to do, because the results have been nowhere near good enough over the last five, six games, and we’re the only ones that can get us out of it.
“And we know that, you know, starting Wednesday again. There’s no rest, you know. There’s no there’s no time to regroup. We’ve got games, games, games. And sometimes it can be a good thing that you’ve got such a quick turnaround and we can go again. But, you know, we need to start playing better, and we need to start showing a lot more consistency in our in our game.”
