It seems like Liverpool have their man.
Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has declared his desire to become the next manager of the Reds.
“It seems clear to me that I would like to work there,” said the 45-year-old Dutchman.
“All I can say about it is that the clubs are in negotiations. I’m in the waiting room.”
Developments have been moving quickly all week, with representatives of Liverpool meeting with Feyenoord to discuss a fee, with his contract’s releasse clause not being avble to be activated until next year.
When asked about the possible new manager on Wednesday, Virgil van Dijk said: “I think the way of playing and the philosophy he has, that he could be a Liverpool coach.
“Only I think from what I read and hear is that it’s still far from being completed. We shall see.”
