Luis Diaz picked up the Standard Chartered Player of the Month award for April and thanked the fans for the support they have given him.
Diaz made seven starts throughout April, scored in the Premier League draw at Manchester United and has been one of the few determined players during the team’s recent dip in form.
“I’m happy for the support of all the fans, knowing that they have been with me from the very moment I arrived until the last,” said the Colombian winger.
“They have always been super-attentive and supportive, not only of me but also of the institution, the team and I am very grateful to God for helping the team in this way.
“I’m contributing to the team, as I’ve always wanted to do, with goals, assists, playing well. The team comes first before the individual.”
