As we enter the final few days of the summer transfer window, its starting to get tense.
After witnessing another nailbiting performance at Newcastle on Monday, there’s no doubt that a new centre-back is needed.
Marc Guehi is supposed to be that centre-back. He is in the final year of his Crystal Palace contract and if the Eagles are to get any money for him they really do need to revise their current £40m price tag for the player.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a bid this week, thought to be £30m plus £5m add-ons, which Palace are expected to accept…
…if they can find a replacement.
They are currently being linked with Juventus’ Lloyd Kelly and Toulouse’s Jaydee Canvot. If either of these deals happen, then Guehi becomes a Red.
