Hugo Ekitike was on target for France in their 4-0 win over Ukraine on Thursday night.
The result confirmed their qualification for the 2026 World Cup Finals.
Speaking after the game, the 23-year-old Liverpool striker said: “It’s a childhood dream.
“Every time I get minutes, I try to show my abilities and that I’m there to help the team.
“I’m happy to be rewarded.”
