“Darwin is a player with a different skillset to all our other players – that’s good,” he told reporters in the pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s home game with Nottingham Forest. “He’s a real handful, a machine and he will score a lot of goals.
“He’s still adapting, his English is still not great, if existing at all, and we’re working on that massively. so it’s not helpful to go through a difficult debut season for the whole team.
“But he’s had super moments for us. It’s a long-term project.”
