Jurgen Klopp was happy after Liverpool’s 1-0 home win over Brentford on Saturday evening and praised the defence for their performance.
“That game was the best defensive set-piece session I ever saw in my life against the best set-piece team I’ve ever played,” he said after the game.
The win helps close the gap on fourth-placed Man Utd and the possibility of qualifying for Champions League football next season. They are now a point behind, albeit having played two extra games.
“It’s just an interesting period – a bit more exciting than probably a few teams wanted but for us it’s good that we could get in that region of the table again,” he added.
“But we have to make sure we keep the teams behind us behind us becuase they are coming aswell. Nothing is decided and that’s good.”
