A Mo Salah double was enough to see off Everton at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
The 2-0 victory temporarly saw Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table and saw Jurgen Klopp‘s men return to winning ways after the international break.
The game wasn’t without controversy. The visitors were reduced to 10 men after Ashley Young’s sending off in the first half, but Ibrahima Konate was fortunate not to receive a second yellow later in the game, infuriating Sean diche on the Everton bench.
“A difficult game. Even before the first whistle, I didn’t know 100% how we would be ready for that,” admitted Klopp after the match.
“I’m not happy that we are ‘back on track’ or whatever, I’m happy we won the game. Yeah, and 20 points, that’s what we wanted and that’s what we have now, so that’s absolutely great.”
