Liverpool have agreed a British transfer record fee of £125m to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
An agreement for the Swedish international striker is now in place and Isak is expected to undergo a medical on Monday before signing a six-year contract.
The Reds had already broken their club transfer record this summer when they signed Florian Wirtz for £100m plus £16m in add-ons. Isak’s arrival will smash that.
With Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Armin Pecsi and Giovanni Leoni also arriving during this transfer window, it will take the club’s total spending to about £416m without add-on fees.
