Liverpool injury news ahead of Man Utd game

We’ve got a massive game on Sunday, with Liverpool taking on Man Utd at Anfield in the Premier League.

It’s too soon to know the full impact the international break will have had on injuries and fitness, but we should know more on Friday.

However, what we do already know is as follows…

Alisson Becker is out with a hamstring injury he sustained in the Champions League match against Galatasaray a couple of weeks ago. Giorgi Mamardashvili will take his place between the sticks.

New signing Giovanni Leoni has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an ACL injury.

Wataru Endo withdrew from the Japan squad last week with a hamstring injury. He is considered a major doubt for Sunday’s game against United.

Ibrahima Konate was forced off with a thigh problem in last week’s defeat at Chelsea. He was sent back early from international duty with France and will face a late fitness test to determine his availability.

Ryan Gravenberch was substituted at half-time during the Netherlands game against Finland on Sunday due to a “minor hamstring discomfort.” Both the player and his national team manager stated the substitution was a precaution, and he is expected to be assessed back at Liverpool before a decision is made on his inclusion in the matchday squad.

As far as we know there are no other injury concerns, but Arne Slot will update us in his Friday press conference.
