Liverpool told Ramsay will cost £10m

Aberdeen have slapped a £10m price tag on Calvin Ramsay, as interest from Liverpool increases.

The Reds see the 18-year-old right-back as an ideal long-term replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold as Jurgen Klopp continues to future-proof his squad.

Liverpool made an initial £4m offer plus £2m in add-ons for Ramsay but Aberdeen are holding out for at least £5m up-front, with £5m in add-ons.

Despite interest from other clubs in England, Italy and Germany, Liverpool is Ramsay’s preferred club and the opportunity to learn from Alexander-Arnold may well be the deciding factor in this deal.

“As a full-back, watching Trent and his crosses and his technical ability – if I can get to that level then it would be a bonus,” he said.
