Liverpool v Bournemouth Preview

Back in the game and off the back of a great performance midweek we look ahead to welcoming Bournemouth to Anfield on Saturday.

I suspect there may be one or two changes perhaps with Gakpo holding a place ahead of Diaz but that won’t change my confidence in the boys this weekend.

Bournemouth plucky but open

Watching Bournemouth play Chelsea last Saturday night was enjoyable. They play a nice brand of football which is easy on the eye. It’s not possession-filled but it’s certainly attacking. They look to move the ball quickly up the pitch and are more than happy to shoot from speculative positions. The ball goes into the box plenty and they certainly ask questions of the oppositions backline. They were ultimately unlucky to lose that match having had a penalty saved at 0-0.

They will look to sit deep and counter in this one not too dissimilar to Forest but I don’t expect lightning to strike twice. There will be big chances for Liverpool here on the back of winning possession high up the pitch. The Bournemouth backline is not perfect and they are in playing in front of new keeper Kepa who had to miss the last game due to loan rules and not playing against his parent club. So the back 4 and keeper aren’t settled together and the movement of our forward line will hurt them.

Best bet comes in shape of goals

TrustDice.win are once again offering the biggest odds available online for a Liverpool win and should form part of most accumulators on Saturday.

For our selection though it’s the Total Goals market where we will nail our colours to the mast. Taking Over 3.5 goals in this one feels right. The Cherries scoring one wouldn’t surprise me but given the playing styles of the two teams, I fancy us to get 3 maybe 4 goals in a convincing victory. Odds of 10/11 are available on the selection with TrustDice and that will suit us just fine!
