Liverpool v Nottm Forest Preview

Now that rude interruption of an international period is gone, we are back! We will hopefully pick up where we left off and kick on with the great momentum we’ve had since Arne came in.

These international breaks will always take it out on the team particularly with the South American lads. That being said, we have a home match and fully expect to win despite the apparent improvements in Forest this season.

Deeper line to nullify Forest

I have so much faith in such a short time that Slot will know where the opponent’s strengths are in this game. Their talent sits mostly at their top end. Gibbs White is a real talent and with pacey options either side of him and an experienced number 9 in front, they can cause defences problems. We will need to be aware that this Nottingham team are comfortable without the ball and will look to counter in numbers against our naturally high back-line.

I think we will see this understood and reflected in the way we move up the pitch. There will be a consideration of their strengths and adjustments made even if it’s only 3 or 4 metres. I don’t expect to see changes made to the starting 11 unless is some late injury news that comes to light following the return of the players.

We will take a bet at similar odds for our single selection this week and look to choose the correct score in the match. The score that made the most appeal at the odds available with TrustDice was definitely 2-1 at 11/2. We’ve looked good at the back but just in terms of playing styles, Forest could give us problems. Attacking is something we have no problems doing and I suspect we will find a way through enough times to edge the game.
