Liverpool return from a two-week break to face Southampton at Anfield on Saturday evening (kick-off 8.15pm).
With nine places and 17 points between the two clubs in the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp‘s men are strong favourites to claim all three points as the Reds look to claim a top-four finish and Champions League qualification.
Captain Jordan Henderson is still not match-fit, while Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all remain sidelined.
“The injury situation, nothing really new,” Jürgen Klopp said at his pre-match press conference on Friday. “We have a few bumps and bruises, so late decisions – we have to make late decisions in a few positions until tomorrow.
“Hendo, while I am sitting here Hendo is running outside, that’s what I can say. Nothing else. He was not in team training yet and that’s it pretty much.”
