Alexis Mac Allister’s Argentina are through to the semi-finals of the Copa America, after beating Ecuador on penalties.
The Liverpool midfielder provided the assist for Lisandro Martinez’s goal in the 1-1 draw, then converted his penalty to help set up a semi-final clash with either Venezuela or Canada next Wednesday, with the final set to be played on Monday 15th July.
It will mean that Mac Allister will join pre-season training late and may miss the USA trip.
