Liverpool’s 2-0 win at Ipswich Town on Saturday gave new head coach Arne Slot something to cheer about, but he rightly pointed out that it was a game of two halves, which needs to be improved upon.
“In the end it was a good win, we scored some nice goals,” he said after the game. “The second half performance was much, much, much better than the first half. But the first half is something to take a closer look at one more time.”
