Liverpool started the Community Shield against Crystal Palace well, with new signings Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong getting on the scoresheet in what ended in a 2-2 draw.
The game went straight to penalties and poor spot kicks let Liverpool down and gifted the game to Palace.
