Four defeats in a row for Arne Slot’s Liverpool. Wednesday night’s Champions League win in Germany was a distant memory as the Reds struggled to keep up with a buoyant Brentford side at the Gtech Stadium on Saturday night.
Despite Mo Salah pulling a goal back with a moment of class in the final few minutes, Liverpool were well beaten by the Bees and didn’t deserve anything from the game.
We could blame an ever-growing injury list, we could blame the arrival of so many new signings at once, we could blame the dip in form of some of the club’s key players but, at the end of the day, it’s simply not good enough.
