Reds hoping for Ali return this weekend

Liverpool will be hoping that Alisson Becker is back for the Saturday lunchtime Premier League clash with Chelsea at Anfield.

With Giorgi Mamardashvili still ruled out with a knee injury, the Reds have been relying on third-choice keeper Freddie Woodman.

The 29-year-old former Preston North End stopper has stepped up well but, with only four games remaining to secure Champions League qualification, Arne Slot will want to see Alisson back between the sticks after suffering a hamstring injury in March.

The Brazilian number one has been blighted with injury over the last couple of seasons and, with rumours of a possible move to Juventus in the summer, these may well be his last four games for Liverpool.
