Paris Saint-Germain have struck a deal with Barcelona to sign Ferran Torres, a move that raises fresh questions over Bradley Barcola’s future at the French club.
The two sides have reportedly established an agreement in principle worth £42.75 million, with all parties aiming to finalise the switch before the weekend.
The French champions have targeted the Spain international despite already bolstering their attack with Maghnes Akliouche this summer, adding to an already crowded frontline featuring Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and Barcola.
With Torres incoming, it is a lot more likely PSG will be open to a more realistic offer for Barcola, after their £140m valuation was immediately dismissed by Liverpool.
It is clear that Barcola remains Liverpool’s number one transfer target this summer. We just need to agree on a price now.
