Liverpool to miss out on top summer target?

Liverpool could miss out on Yan Diomande as the 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger is likely to stay at RB Leipzig for at least another year, according to reports.

The Reds are on the hunt for a replacement for the departing Mo Salah and Diomande has been top of the shopping list for several months now.

Bayern Munich are also keen, but his eye-watering £86.2m price tag is proving to be a problem.

“Anyone who knows the club knows his word is law,” said German football journalist Christian Falk. “Diomande should also be able to imagine staying for at least a year.
