Liverpool have been keeping tabs on 18-year-old Lille centre-back Leny Yoro.
With Joel Matip leaving the club over the summer the Reds need to strengthen in defence and Yoro could fit the bill.
Lille president Olivier Letang set tongues wagging when he suggested he is surplus to requirements at the Frnech club.
“We have two players who have an exit voucher, Leny (Yoro) and Jonathan (David),” Letang told reporters on Wednesday. “They will be allowed to leave.”
The price tag for Yoro could be anything from £50m to £85m if the press reports are to be believed.
He is attracting a lot of interest from the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea, and is reportedly holding out for a move to Real Madrid, so don’t be getting his name on the back of your new Liverpool home shirt just yet!
