The fourth round of the Carabao Cup has been drawn and Liverpool will have a short trip up the M6 to play Championship side Preston North End.
The Reds will go to Deepdale during week commencing 25 October, with the exact fixture date yet to be announced.
A good cup run will give Jurgen Klopp an opportunity to use some of the squad fringle players and give vital first-team experience to youngsters such as Kaide Gordon and Conor Bradley, who both featured in the 3-0 win at Norwich this week.
