Vincent Kompany’s appointment as the new manager of the Bundesliga club has got the gossipmongers talking. Among the many possible transfers being suggested, the Daily Mirror claim that the Belgian wants to sign the Liverpool defender.
Gomez has had an excellent season for the Reds, culminating in an England call-up for the Euros, so its no wonder the 27-year-old is attracting attention.
However, he signed a five-year deal in 2022 keeping him at the club until 2027 and new boss Arne Slot will be determined to hold onto him as he prepares for next season.
