Harvey Elliott admits it is going to be an emotional day at Anfield on Sunday, when Jurgen Klopp says his final farewell to the club.
“The gaffer, we can’t thank him enough and it’s the least we can do for him,” he told the official site. “The achievements that he has achieved as a manager and for us as players, the experiences that we have gained, we can never say thank you enough.
“The least we can do is go out and perform for him and put our hearts on the line. He’s given us many opportunities and turned us into men. There’s another game at the weekend but it’s going to be a very emotional one for everyone.”
He continued: “It’s going to be an emotional day. Us as players and us as a club, we can’t thank the coaching staff and himself enough and I think the least we can do is put in a top performance for him and give him the best possible send-off. I know as a club we are going to do that with the fans behind us as well.
“There’s one man who deserves that in this world and that’s the boss. For us as players, we just want to go out and play the best possible football we can.
“We are on our home turf and we’ll come to the emotions after the game.”
