Steven Gerrard’s return to Anfield wasn’t a dream one as the Liverpool Legends lost 2-1 to a strong Barcelona side including Rivaldo, Edgar Davids and Javier Saviola.
Gerrard skippered the Reds and scored the opening goal – a dubious penalty – but the visitors equalised through Giovanni and clinched victory with a second-half Rivaldo penalty.
