Liverpool Football Club parted ways with head coach Arne Slot after two years in charge of the club.
Despite winning the Premier League title in his first attempt after taking over from Jurgen Klopp, Slot struggled through this season and received a lot of criticism from the media, fans and players alike.
The club waited until the end of the season before conducting a review and have announced Slot’s departure with immediate effect.
The Dutchman responded, saying “It’s been an amazing ride together with Liverpool, I am so grateful that we were able to win the league last season.”
The search for a new manager is already underway, with former Bournemouth boss Andono Iraola supposedly earmarked for the job.
