Curtis Jones to Tottenham? Surely not

The transfer window is always silly season and this one is no different.

While Liverpool have generally been fairly quiet in terms of transfer activity, some other clubs are flavour of the month.

Tottenham are going through a difficult time at the moment. Thomas Frank is under pressure and may no longer be there by the time the transfer window closes.

In the meantime, the club have been busy spending cash. Conor Gallagher has been brought in for an estimated £35m and he doesn’t look like he’s going to be the only signing of the window for them.

The latest name being linked with a possible move to Spurs is our very own Curtis Jones.

While there’s always been a section of our fanbase who don’t rate Jones, for several reasons but mostly because he’s not Steven Gerrard (ala. Jordan Henderson), he has proven to be one of our most creative midfielders this season.

Allowing such an important member of the first team squad to leave at a time when we are in need of MORE creativity would be a massive error by the club, but it wouldn’t be the first mistake Hughes and Edwards have made.
