Andoni Iraola has reportedly identified Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville as a primary target to help rebuild Liverpool’s wide attack.
With Mo Salah’s departure creating a glaring vacancy on the right wing, the recruitment team has been auditing several targets across Europe.
However, reports today indicate that Iraola has specifically requested the signature of the 24-year-old Dutchman, whose explosive pace and clinical directness perfectly match his intense pressing blueprint.
Summerville has been a standout performer for Leeds, and the club are bracing themselves for a wave of bids this summer.
While alternative targets like Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola remain under consideration, Summerville represents a highly cost-effective option that would allow sporting director Richard Hughes to preserve the bulk of his transfer kitty for a defensive overhaul.
Initial contact has reportedly been established with the player’s representatives, and Liverpool are eager to wrap up a deal before Leeds can spark a multi-club bidding war.
