Rio Ngumoha will be leaving the England setup this week, having made a massive impact on Thomas Tuchel and the senior squad.
Despite not being named in the official 26-man squad for the upcoming World Cup, the 17-year-old Liverpool forward turned heads on Saturday, securing a man-of-the-match award after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 victory against New Zealand.
It remains to be seen if Tuchel will give Rio another run out on Wednesday when England face Costa Rica in their final warm-up game before the start of the tournament.
Once he’s back Rio is expected to take a well-deserved holiday, before joining up with the Liverpool squad for pre-season preparations next month.
