Gravenberch puts pen to paper on new long-term deal

Liverpool have officially secured the long-term future of Ryan Gravenberch, with the Dutch midfielder signing a significant contract extension at the AXA Training Centre on Saturday.

The new agreement is reported to keep the 23-year-old at Anfield until June 2032, reflecting his vital status in Arne Slot’s squad.

Since arriving from Bayern Munich in 2023, Gravenberch has evolved into a cornerstone of the Reds’ midfield.

His transition into a deeper role was a primary factor in Liverpool’s Premier League title success last season.

To date, he has made 123 appearances for the club, establishing himself as one of the most consistent performers in the top flight.

Speaking to the club’s official website after putting pen to paper, Gravenberch expressed his delight at the renewal.

“I feel really, really good,” he said. “I was really proud to extend my contract at such a big club. So, I’m really happy that I can stay for many more years.”

The midfielder highlighted the environment at the club as a key reason for his decision to stay.

“I felt directly the trust from the club, also from the manager. The decision for me was easy to make. My family is also happy here.”
