Liverpool’s hunt for a new striker in the summer transfer window continues and, with Newcastle expected to try to hold onto Alexander Isak if they qualify for the Champions League next season, the Reds are looking around at the alternatives.
Top of the list appears to be Ollie Watkins. The 29-year-old Aston Villa forward has been dropped in favour of Marcus Rashford recent weeks. If Villa can secure a permanent move for the Man Utd man then Watkins is expected to be keen to move on.
Arsenal had a bid for Watkins rejected in January, but he may be open for a move to Anfield if the price is right in the summer.
