Antoine Semenyo is a player in demand right now. The Bournemouth forward had already been linked with a possible January move to Liverpool a few weeks ago, but it’s now starting to look a lot more likely.
As we all probably know by now, Semenyo has a release clause understood to be slightly less than £65m and it has to be triggered early next month.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot is keen on signing Semenyo as the successor to Mohamed Salah, who looks to be on his way in the summer, if not sooner.
But there’s competition from Man City, who have also made contact with the player and his representatives, while Man Utd and Tottenham are also reportedly interested.
However, Saturday’s injury to Alexander Isak may rule him out for several months if it is a broken leg, as we fear. If so, then Semenyo will almost certainly become top of the January shopping list.
Semenyo is rumoured to prefer a move to Anfield, so hopefully it will happen in the New Year.
