Liverpool have learned the staggering cost if they wish to sign Moroccan sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi
The 18-year-old Lille midfielder has seen his stock rise exponentially following a series of dazzling World Cup displays in North America, making him a prime summer target for the Reds.
Lille president Olivier Letang has strongly hinted that Bouaddi would command a fee touching the nine-figure mark, citing recent Premier League blockbuster deals, including Elliot Anderson’s £116 million move to Manchester City, as the baseline metric for Bouaddi’s valuation.
“How much have players like Anderson or Tonali been sold for, who are much older, but without room for improvement,” he said. “So you have an idea of the value of Ayyoub, who has a unique profile at only 18 years old.
“Many clubs are interested in him, but very few can afford him right now. He’s already one of the best midfielders in the world and still has significant room for improvement. He’s only 18 and has his whole future ahead of him.”
