Dominik Szoboszlai is Liverpool’s Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Season for 25/26.
The Hungarian midfielder dominated the fan poll on the official website, claiming over two thirds of the total votes to lift the award for the first time.
Szoboszlai was a beacon of hope throughout the campaign, starting in 53 of Liverpool’s 57 fixtures. Whether pulling the strings in midfield or filling in at right-back, he was commanding, racking up 13 goals alongside a squad-best 12 assists.
His consistency was recognised all year, earning him five Player of the Month accolades and eight Player of the Match awards.
It’s just a shame we’re not going to see him captaining Hungary at this summer’s World Cup in North America, after they failed to qualify for the finals.
