Liverpool’s form is improving. Saturday’s 2-0 home win over Brighton & Hove Albion takes their unbeaten run to five and things are looking much better than they were a few weeks ago.
Hugo Ekitike got the Reds off to a flier with a goal in the first minute, but the big news was the return of Mo Salah to the subs bench and his subsequent appearance on the field when he replaced the injured Joe Gomez on 26 minutes.
Salah was determined to get a goal, but it was an assist for Ekitike that sealed the win for Arne Slot’s side.
The Egyptian said his farewells to the Anfield crowd, touching his Liverbird badge as he left the field. He now heads off to AFCON, leaving us all unsure of whether we will ever see him play for Liverpool again.
