Virgil van Dijk was the hero of the night with an injury time winner that gave Arne Slot’s Reds a winning start in their Champions League campaign.
It was a perfect start for Liverpool, thanks to two early goals from Andy Robertson and Mo Salah, but Atletico fought back and refused to be beaten.
Thankfully, the Mentality Monsters won the game in the dying seconds once again.
