Liverpool take on West Ham at Anfield in a rare 3pm Saturday afternoon kick-off.
The Reds will be looking to maintain their push for a top four finish in the Premier League and automatic qualification for next season’s Champions League.
With several players missing Sunday afternoon, game at Nottingham Forest, Arne Slot gave us an update on injuries in his Friday press conference.
Jeremie Frimpong will be back in the first team squad after his recent groin injury.
“He trained with us a few times this week so he is available,’ confirmed Slot.
However, the news is less positive, and rather vague, for Florian Wirtz. The German picked up a back injury during pre-match warm-up at the City Ground on Sunday, and couldn’t start the game.
“I don’t expect Florian to be available so that’s a disappointment, of course,” added Slot. “Every time a player is not available it’s a disappointment and it’s also something I didn’t expect after last week but that’s sometimes how things can evolve and unfortunately this time not in a positive way.”
There are no updates on Alexander Isak at this time, although he is recovering well and could be selected for the Sweden squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers at the end of March.
