Liverpool, along with Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Manchester City, have reportedly made contact with Borussia Dortmund about their midfielder, Felix Nmecha.
The 25-year-old scored Germany’s winner against Ivory Coast on Saturday night and will be back in action when they play Ecuador on Thursday.
His contract runs until 2030, but there is a £70m release clause in there which triggers next summer.
It will be interesting to see if any of the aforementioned clubs are willing to test Dortmund’s resolve and see if they are prepared to sell for the right price.
With so many top class midfielders already on the books, it’s doubtful that Liverpool will be drawn into any bidding wars, until next year at least.
