Mac Allister discusses potential Liverpool move for Mora

Alexis Mac Allister has spoken out about the possibility of Gilberto Mora joining Liverpool, following intense speculation surrounding the Tijuana teenager’s future.

The 18-year-old Mexican sensation has become one of the most talked-about young talents in North American football, catching the eye of several top European scouts after delivering some scintillating performances for his country at the World Cup.

Mac Allister, who is currently reflecting on his own experiences of international success after scoring a decisive goal in a World Cup quarter-final, spoke to Mexican media outlet Claro Sports about the transfer links.

“Honestly, I didn’t see anything about it,” Liverpool’s No. 10 admitted.

“When these things happen, you’re always careful what you say, out of respect for the player and the club he belongs to.

“But if he’s being linked with Liverpool, he’ll surely be a great player, and there’s a reason they’re mentioning him.”

Liverpool aren’t alone in their interest in Mora. Real Madrid, Man City, Man United, Chelsea and West Ham are also being linked with the player.

As the transfer window progresses, fans will be watching closely to see if the recruitment team can finalise a deal to bring the Mexican starlet to Anfield.
